Look at the cross section
The cross-section of nylon is shiny, but the bristles are not. This method can be known with the eyes, but the quality of nylon is relatively soft, and the cross section is relatively small, so it looks no different from pig bristles. Looking at the cross section, this method is only suitable for comparison between good quality nylon and pig bristles.
Look at the side
Nylon itself is shiny, but there is no bristles. When you can’t see it from the cross section, try to see it from the side. If you look at good-quality nylon and good-quality bristles, it looks more obvious from the cross section, but the difference is not big from the side.
